Win32/Heur is a very malicious internet virus rapidly infecting computers world wide. The Win32/Heur virus gets inside windows system security by altering its form (polymorphic behaviour) and installs itself without user's knowledge. Win32/Heur will hide in deeply rooted win32 system files and drop malicious payloads like rootkits, trojans, spyware, worms and other malware onto the compromised computer.
How does Win32/Heur virus spread?
Win32/Heur has the ability to self-replicate itself over local and network computers. The virus can spread in a number of different ways, most commonly by visiting corrupted websites (drive-by-downloads), corrupted multimedia files, social networks, malicious email attachments or filesharing programs (such as Limewire and Kazaa). Win32/Heur may disable active security tools like pop up blockers, anti-virus and anti-spyware applications and install additional harmful threats onto the system. The virus may also record sensitive computer activities (such as visited websites, banking data, passwords) and transmit the stolen information to remote hackers for future malicious activities.
